FIRST Competition and grants

Team 2951 is now registered to attend the Oregon Regional Robotics Competion. This event will take place Mar 05-07, 2009 in Portland, OR USA in the Memorial Coliseum. In addition to the $6000 Boeing grant that has paid for the entry fee into the competition and purchase of robotic equipment for this competition, Benson Robotics has received $3660 from Murdock foundation for our team and we still need to confirm with PGE that Benson HS is the team they are choosing to support. PGE grant is for $2500.

Benson Robotics Cub has received a $6,000 grant from Boeing to participate in the FIRST robotics competition in Portland, Oregon. These grant funds insure equipment and competition registration costs can be met. Additional grant requests with PGE and NASA are pending, in addition to a CTE request with Benson High School through their smaller learning community grant.

Benson Robotics Club will be participating in a robotics exhibition and competition at OMSI on October 25. Entrance is free to club members and guests. Participants receive an additional discount to enter the paid portion of OMSI and a reduction in costs in OMSI's cafeteria.
